For much of my adult life, I’ve traveled and not just short overnight jaunts. For years I would fly from Atlanta to Brazil, then head to Taiwan, Qatar, or Saudi Arabia, possibly stopping in Singapore or Malaysia, then to New Jersey before returning to Atlanta. I would be home for a week or two and then start my circuit again, I would joke (although not that funny) that my home away from home was Delta Airlines. The airline crews knew me, and I knew them, I had a routine; it was easy. I could pack with my eyes closed; give me 20 minutes and my bags were ready to go for the next three plus weeks. My wife and daughter were extremely understanding, and when I came home and went to my daughter’s school functions or social events with my wife I would frequently hear “You are actually real? We just thought your wife made you up”. But then I retired, and my routine vanished in the wind. While packing for this trip I cannot believe how much my bag weighs. What happened? I used to be so good at this! What used to take me 20 minutes now takes me a full day not including taking our pet to a friend’s home who lives 2 hours away. However, we are ready: clothes, shoes, books, computer, chargers, medicines, sunglasses, iPhone and a hat. My wife and I depart from Atlanta to Boston and then on to Israel on Delta Airlines in a first-class suite (one of the perks from flying close to 4 million miles on one Airline). We are ready and will be meeting our group in Tel Aviv, Israel.
We hope to blog each day telling you of our daily adventures, but it may be only several times a week. We hope you will find our blog of interest and feel free to send in comments, questions, or thoughts. So, I will close now with one last check of my electronics and charging devices. We depart Atlanta at 11:15 am tomorrow and arrive in Israel the following morning at 9:30 local time. So, stay tuned and keep reading the Besorah as we bring you good news from our trip to the Holy Land.
P.S. As I was typing this out our flight from Boston to Tel Aviv was just delayed by 2 1/2 hours. Oh the joy of flying.

I am the wife of the author ergo I am reading all of this multiple times before you get the honor of viewing. Please note this is simply our experience and no political entity has influenced any of our decisions. We are starting this trip as a husband and wife team while our daughter will be on her birthrite beginning next week. We all meet up in Jerusalem next Sabbath, June 17, so we will be a nice Jewish American family traveling together in Israel. 😊🌎 Let the adventure begin. C.

Amazing to be at Beersheba where God made his covenant with Abraham. From there derives the future of Judaism and Christianity.
